The car is otherworldly! It was dark when I got home so no pictures but here's a photo of the M4 at the dealership:

The cockpit is like the Space Shuttle. I can change the exhaust note with the touch of a button (not fake sound), heads-up display, adjustable everything. Oh, and it f'n goes!
Congrats on the new toy

First off, congratulations.

Second, err...correction.

Steve Dinan measured the HP at 591.

As far as the other comment about tuning, the ECU has to be femto unlocked. it needs to be sent out of the country. With 591HP, he can LITFA.

So, this is RWD? you didnt say Xdrive.

if they didnt already tell you, there is a 1200 mile or so break in period. just drive it like a grandma on a sunday.
X-drive. I can switch between 4WD, 4WD Sport, or 2WD.

They did tell me about the break-in OCI. It's free.

Would think XDrive with the 523HP, and I believe that the power is limited until the
1200 mi service. During that service the dealership services the car and adds the
additional power.
That is my understanding. The engine software is electronically limited during the first 1200 miles (lower maximum boost pressure, reduced allowable RPMs and torque output, and gentler transmission shift logic). After the 1200-mile service (engine oil and differential fluid change and a systems check), the engine software is unlocked for full power, torque, and redline.

congrats dude ! enjoy ! glad you kept the Q50 as well !

Competitions are on another level. Congratulations!!

Waiting for your first YouTube video (I don't do TikTok).

Damn dude. Huge congratulations to you. I grew up on BMW’s, still drive my dad’s sometimes when I’m working on my q. I love them to death. Not to mention this is one of the best specced g8x’s I’ve ever seen. I’ve heard the driving experience was sort of dull on these, how do you like it?

Right? I heard there was a project that had a VR38 equipped Q50 but it was cancelled… upwards of 500 wheel, literally an m3 competitor and a real modern skyline-based GTR. A shame it never happened.

I really think Nissan wanted to keep the VR38 exclusive to the GT-R and not dilute it's image by putting it into the Q50 ... even if they made the Eau Rouge in limited numbers. I also understand packaging the VR38 inside the Q50 was difficult and created compromise. The engine is a fair bit bigger than the VQ37 and VR30.

Engine bay. Note real strut tower braces, not those hinged aluminum wannabes:

That’s probably the case. Funny because the GTR used to be based on the skyline and not its own thing. I think it’d be a cool thing to bring the GTR name back to the “Skyline.” I’m sure squeezing the VR38 into a Q was a royal PITA.

Just noticed that the front seats have electric headrests. You can adjust the height of the headrests in the settings. The headrests also have M4 lights that light up when you open the door. Overkill IMHO.
